About Geoff Hulten
Geoff

When I started my first job in 2005 I worried Machine Learning might be a fad.

I kept my engineering skills up for years just in case I needed to apply for a 'real' job.

Boy was I wrong.

About Me

Since 2005 I've worked at Microsft and Google, mostly managing applied machine learning teams.

I wrote a book called Building Intelligent Systems

I teach Machine Learning at University of Washington's Professional Masters Program.

I received a SIGKDD Test of Time award for influential contributions to the data mining research community that have stood the test of time.

My research has received thousands of citations.

Sometimes I write games.
