 
         When I started my first job in 2005 I worried Machine Learning might be a fad.
I kept my engineering skills up for years just in case I needed to apply for a 'real' job.
Boy was I wrong.
 
         Since 2005 I've worked at Microsft and Google, mostly managing applied machine learning teams.
 
         I wrote a book called Building Intelligent Systems
I teach Machine Learning at University of Washington's Professional Masters Program.
 
         I received a SIGKDD Test of Time award for influential contributions to the data mining research community that have stood the test of time.
